Here’s your chance. Kind of. The shuttles are retiring in 2010. The next space craft won’t be ready until 2015. So, other than Russian flights, I see some “downtime” here. Still, how often does NASA hold a casting call?

How much does it pay? “NASA offers a starting annual salary of $59,493 to $130,257, depending on qualifications and experience.” If you built and flew your own shuttle, I bet they’d pay more.

“Frequent travel may be required.”
