Many public libraries, including the Oak Park Public Library, use the Overdrive service to lend ebooks. These ebooks can be read on a lot of devices, like iPads, but aren’t available for Kindles. TechCrunch noted that this will soon change – Library Books for Kindle is almost here. I’ve found the Overdrive reader app to be kind of clunky, so it will be nice to use the Kindle app instead.
