I got new glasses on Friday — boy, what an improvement! OK, a pretty subtle improvement but still better. Everything looks super clear! Like things have edges even if they are some distance away (but I still can’t read signs as far away as Seth can with his contacts which sucks).
In art school my instructors constantly told me that things have edges, that they weren’t as blurry as I was painting them. In my head, I knew stuff had edges — duh. But unless I had a brand-new pair of glasses I sure couldn’t see them! Thus, blurry paintings. (No good excuse, though, for lack of proportion.)
This clarity will last for a little while. Eventually my eyes will worsen and I’ll scratch the darned lenses. I’ll be back in the fuzzy life. Until then, all of you are looking sharp!
