You probably alreay know that Fox is suing Al Franken over the title of his new book, Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right. Fox claims that it owns the phrase “Fair and Balanced” and somehow Franken’s title violates its copyright/trademark/whathaveyou.

Please, please tell me that at some point Fox or one of its minions has argued that America must pursue tort reform because our court system is clogged with too many “frivolous law suits.”

Anyway, bloggers generally don’t take kindly to bullying and posturing and have decided that if Fox is gonna take on Franken, it’ll have to take on the rest of us. So, be like these people, and declare your blog to be “Fair & Balanced!”

OK, since this blog is just me here it’s not especially fair or balanced, so I kept my tag line as truthful as I could. Sue this, Fox!

The Fox/Franken lawsuit has definitely resulted in some consequences that Fox could not have intended, such as pushing Franken’s book to number 1 on Amazon and possibly causing a massive international power outage.

(Hey, look, another Internet meme!)
